October 9, 2017Classic Amodel Ghana Limited (CAGL) as part of its corporate social responsibility for 2017 supported the launch of the 2017 World Breastfeeding week celebration held in Takoradi on Friday 18th August 2017.
CAGL is championing the importance of exclusive breastfeeding with this sponsorship in making sure that every child in Ghana is given a chance to survive, grow and develop into a healthy and strong citizen. This was done is collaboration with the office of the First Lady of Ghana Mrs. Akufo-Addo with the engagements of the Ministry of Health and other healthcare professional.
During the launch under the theme ‘Sustaining Breastfeeding Together’ the First Lady Mrs. Akufo-Addo revealed the importance for mothers to know that breast feeding was a God given process specifically designed to enhance a baby’s growth and development with no substitute comparable. She called for ‘’strong partnership made up of government, health partners, health practitioners, communities, non-governmental organizations, media and civil society to advocate and help create utmost protective and supportive environment exclusively for breastfeeding’’.
The CAGL Group which currently operates in Shipping & Logistics, Micro-Finance, Oil & Gas Services, General Security Services, Diving & Dredging Services, Construction & Engineering, and Facilities Management with a solid reputation for delivering excellence has pledged support to help Ghana achieve its goal of 80 percent of all babies in Ghana to be exclusively breastfed by the year 2021.
The event was graced by the presence of the President and Chairman of the CAGL Group Mr. Isaac Amoako-Mensah and some senior executives of the CAGL Group.
